How We Got Our Kennel Name

Our kennel name originated from Bouldin Island, a 6000 acre farm located in the heart of the wetlands between Rio Vista and Lodi CA. Our family has farmed this land for nearly 25 years. During this time we have enjoyed the privilege of hunting, training and playing with our Labs.....we are not millionaires.....we are Bouldinaires, rich with the memories of our dogs, and the most spectacular waterfowl and upland game hunting in the Pacific Flyway.

We LOVE raising pups!!! But even so our litters are few, maybe one or two a year.All our puppies are whelped in our home, and are socialized, played with, and cuddled every day!! They each wear different colored rick-rack colars so that their personalities and aptitudes may be closely observed. This is done so that we can match certain pups and their personality types with families/ individuals and their lifestyles. We certainly don't want to place the most "layed back" pup with a marathon athlete, nor do we want the " Athletic Alpha dog" going home with the retired folks who really want a fireside companion. We temperament test each puppy and introduce them to feather at six weeks .

My name is Beth Wilkerson. My Husband CJ and I have been actively showing, breeding, and hunting Labrador Retrievers for over 26 years. In our hearts we believe there is no other breed as versatile as the Lab. We strive to produce sound, beautiful, hunting, show and companion pups, with beautiful heads, watershedding coats,and excellent conformation. YOU CAN HAVE BEAUTY & BRAINS . Screened for orthepedic disease (hips &elbows) through OFA, Examined by a Veterinarian Othalmologist for genetic eye disorders, and cleared of Heart Valve defects by color doppler.
